(website www.yogasheffield.org)

We have several suitably qualified yoga teachers for the Iyengar classes on Tuesday -  Frances Homewood is the leading Iyengar yoga teacher.

Frances Homewood is a highly experienced yoga teacher who has been teaching yoga for over 20 years. She is trained in the methods of BKS Iyengar, with whom she has studied many times in Pune, India. This training included therapeutic yoga. She now runs the Sheffield Yoga Centre , where she holds weekly therapeutic classes. Her sessions will use therapeutic methods to give people the chance to be in classical yoga poses. The poses will be fully supported with the use of props such as blankets and bolsters so that the practitioner can passively enjoy the pose. Frances can be contacted on 07944 169238.

Joan Abrams is an experienced Iyengar yoga teacher and her training includes therapeutic yoga. She lives in Glossop and has been a part of the yoga scene in the Manchester area for years.
